Who is interested and why?

Questions:

"I am not used to a studio photograph and I seldom like myself in photos. Can I nevertheless hope for a beautiful result?"

"We are not a couple of models and we have no experience. Is it still feasible?"

"Is it possible to do a shoot in natural surroundings (at our place or outside)?"

Essentially the answer to all these questions is YES, from the moment when you accept the idea that also you dream of a photographic study.

People interested in an "intimist" photographic study (see Gallery Glance - Lace - Naked Soul) frequently manage to experience nudity. But it is not the nudity in itself that is the aim. It is the confidence necessary to get there. The moment of experience will remain "unavowedly marvelous".

For the Mums-to-be (see Gallery A life to give - New life) the portrait of themselves and their stomach is a souvenir that surpasses all the Cartesian logic. The more prominent the bulge, the more the unknown radiance beautifies the expectant Mum. this photograph is the translation of a special moment in a woman's life and it will represent an exceptional emotional capital the day she passes it onto her child.

The photographs of couples (see Gallery In two) are successful from the moment when their felings fall into place. The session thus becomes a moment of "sentimental dissoluteness" instead of an amorous adventure. Between play and passion the Art will find its inspiration.

Be it in the studio, at your place or outside (see Gallery Here and elsewhere), the success of a photographic study does not depend at all on decor. It is more the abandonment of the usual way of thinking (preconceived ideas, opinions,...) that allows us to find out own nature. The art consists of making the body acquire "new" movements, which will be accomplished if reasoning does not interfere.

Is it necessary to make an appointment and what are the various stages of the process?

The first stage consists of a description of a few basic ideas over the telephone or by e-mail and of setting up of an interview (either over the telephone or in person in the studio). For the persons travelling from afar the interview can be conducted before the photo shoot.

The second stage consists of making an appointment for a photo shoot. This can take place any day of the week, weekend included. The duration of the session ranges from one to four hours.

When can we have a look at the results?

The results can be viewed within two weeks after the shoot. For the persons who travelled from afar the results will be ready on a proof-board before their departure. The photographs will be developed one by one in my laboratory and every print that you choose (with my appreciation!) will be a unique one.
The print becomes an art print, checked and processed entirely by hand (old-fashioned printing on Ilford Warmtone paper) without any intervention af a printer!
All the photographs can be presented in a special album or in frames.
